Epilepsy York Region

 

Epilepsy York Region (EYR) is a charitable organization that: 

• Advocates on behalf of individuals with seizure disorders, promotes public awareness of epilepsy and seizure disorders.
• Develops programs based upon the needs of our constituents, and provides educational resources and opportunities.

EYR has many purposes:

• To establish effective social service programs to those living with epilepsy.
• To refer those living with epilepsy to services which may be advantageous to them.
• To develop special projects to advance and promote the health and well-being of individuals with epilepsy.
• TO encourage, supervise and conduct programs and disseminate information about epilepsy for the continuing education of the public.
• To encourage the timely use of recognized medical scientific means for the effective diagnosis, treatment, and control of epilepsy.
• To cooperate and assist other individuals and organizations whose objective and purpose are compatible with EYR.
• To raise funds with which to finance the objectives above.
