Epilepsy York Region

Epilepsy York Region (EYR) is a charitable organization that:

Advocates on behalf of individuals with seizure disorders, promotes public awareness of epilepsy and seizure disorders.
Develops programs based upon the needs of our constituents, and provides educational resources and opportunities.

EYR has many purposes:

To establish effective social service programs to those living with epilepsy.
To refer those living with epilepsy to services which may be advantageous to them.
To develop special projects to advance and promote the health and well-being of individuals with epilepsy.
TO encourage, supervise and conduct programs and disseminate information about epilepsy for the continuing education of the public.
To encourage the timely use of recognized medical scientific means for the effective diagnosis, treatment, and control of epilepsy.
To cooperate and assist other individuals and organizations whose objective and purpose are compatible with EYR.
To raise funds with which to finance the objectives above.
